Today's activities included visiting Daddy at work and planting a strawberry garden.
Total bill: $9.95 for the strawberry plant ($5), potting soil ($3.97), and Mr. Wormie Soil (.98) (his clay worm that shows when his plant needs to be watered.)
He also made a comment that was music to my ears, "Mommy, this is actually kinda fun." See, you can have fun and learn AND not spend a lot of money.

Introducing Mr. Wormie Soil
I see strawberries already! Can't wait!
We made our own watering can with an old milk jug. I punched holes in the cap with a nail. Total: FREE :)
He is truly excited about watering it, nurturing it, and harvesting the rewards of good care.
Hopefully I will update with a picture of a big, beautiful strawberry plant in a few weeks. No promises, though. We tend to be plant killers - we are just NOT good with live plants. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
To everyone else on Spring Break - enjoy it! And to those of you who are not - sorry. ;)
Have a great Monday!!
